Our training programs are the backbone of our school. All our Martial Arts programs are age and level specific which will deliver a more enriching experience. The classes are high energy backed by an effective self defense oriented curriculum that will build a TRUE sense of confidence. We believe in hard work to receive long term benefit.
Each group has a special rewards system or belt system to help monitor student progress and keep them motivated.
This is AKKA's definition of a QUALITY training program!
A structured, professionally instructed program that challenges the individual abilities of the students in a safe, age specific manner that also develops discipline, confidence, respect, self esteem, self control, character, and effective, well rounded self defense skills.

Reason 2: Quality Facilities
We at AKKA take tremendous pride in our facilities that are easy to access and conveniently located.
We have a great deal of safety and training equipment. Larger sized training floors that are fully matted for optimum safety.

We have safe and comfortable lobbies for viewing and/or waiting .
All our locations are safe, clean, neat, and sanitary.

Reason 3: AKKA Provides Outstanding Instructors

AKKA conducts FORMAL instructor training. This accomplishes a higher level of effective instruction to the students and more consistency. Beware of schools that have their teen aged volunteer instructors run the show. It is fine to have teens help out so long as they have been properly trained. Even then, they should be supervised.
Anyone can run a "monkey see, monkey do" type of class that has no substance. Teaching effective self defense is NO easy task and requires training and experience. Our instructor team has the experience to train students safely, effectively, and with age/level specificity.
AKKA uses the "Lead by Example" philosophy. Our instructors are highly skilled Martial Artists, motivating leaders in great physical shape, and serve as outstanding role models for both kids and adults. Something that is badly needed in today's society.

Reason 4: AKKA Has Flexible Class Schedules
In the Martial Arts industry, our REAL competition is NOT other Martial Arts schools, it is ALL the other activities people can do with their free time. Having a flexible schedule can make a significant difference. To meet this challenge, AKKA has a class for each age group and level group each day we are open. We do our best to have an earlier time as well as a later time on different days. This allows attending class 2 times per week much easier.
Active AKKA students also have the advantage of our other locations classes. It is common for students to attend their primary school one day and attend another location on a different day. This is possible because our instruction is very consistant from location to location.

Reason 5: AKKA is the MOST Professional
Since AKKA is a multi school operation, we must be systems driven in order to be successful. These systems are designed to deliver top quality service to our clients.
Some Examples:
1. AKKA has an effective and efficient communication system through our email lists and members only website. This helps keep our clients informed in a timely manner and prevents miscommunication.
2. Our staff, instructors, and students are in proper dress at all times while we are open for business.
3. Our facilities are ALWAYS neat, clean, sanitary, and in proper repair.
4. Telephone calls and emails are returned in a timely fashion. You would not think this is a big deal but in this industry and area, correspondences are greatly neglected.
5. Classes start on time and end on time. We see this as being respectful of YOUR time and ours. Once again, you would not think this to be a big deal but you get instructors who like to start and end when they feel like it. Casualness leads to casualties.

Reason 6: AKKA Has the Greatest Value
AKKA prides itself in having GREAT value for YOUR money. AKKA's training programs are second to NONE in this area. Not only do we provide a top quality martial arts program, we also teach a structured character education program for our younger students.
We strive to provide quality instructors/staff who are compensated and properly trained. Yes, you read that right, our instructors/staff are actually compensated and formally trained to teach which means they are more committed to deliver higher levels of service. Most instructors/staff in this area are volunteers to the school owner and have had no formal instructor training. Volunteers are great but cannot be fully depended upon to deliver top notch instruction.
AKKA provides top quality facilities and training equipment.
All this is backed by ethical business practices and systems. AKKA is able to deliver a greater experience because we have the resources to do so.

Reason 7: AKKA Has Multiple Locations
AKKA is a multi school operation. We currently have store front locations in E. Weymouth, Hanson, Hanover, Rockland, S. Weymouth, and W. Bridgewater, MA. This gives our active students the opportunity to train at any AKKA location for no extra cost. Having multiple schools also provides special opportunities to attend larger special events like our exclusive Semi Annual Tournament, special camps, and/or training seminars. Also, if students were to move, their membership would be 100% transferable which includes their established class level and belt rank.
Having the ability to establish multiple successful locations means we have a higher level of professionalism in how we instruct and conduct business.

Reason 8: AKKA is Safer
Safety is our number one priority in all our schools. AKKA is safer than most schools in three ways.

First, our instruction is safer because the lessons are age and level specific. Schools that combine too much of an age range like 5-12 or 13-50 are either unsafe, unchalleging, or both. Same goes for classes that have advanced levels combined with beginners. More advanced students can easily and unintentionally hurt the beginners simply because they have forgotten what it is like to be a beginner and may be too intense. Combining classes with too wide a range of age and/or level is simply unprofessional and you need to seriously question the competence of the instructor.
Second, our facilities are safer because we have invested a significant amount of capital into equipment such as floor matts, heavy bags, and striking Shields. Since Martial Arts is a dynamic activity, falls are common. This is why you do NOT want to have yourself or your child training on hard flooring. Our lobbies are safer for spectators keeping the spectators separate from the students. Many schools have the training floor flow right into the lobby which is very unsafe especially for younger children.

Third, for our more advanced students, we have a high standard for safety equipment used by the students. We have all the students use the SAME quality of gear. This creates a consistency of safety among the students. I know this must sound so basic but believe me, this is very, very uncommon. In most cases, instructors have the students buy the cheapest, lowest quality gear they can get. Some instructors have the students share gear with is completely unsanitary and unsafe. Some do not require gear at all!

Reason 9: Supportive Training Environment

We at AKKA, pride ourselves with providing a positive and supportive training environment. This optimizes a student's ability to learn a new skill and helps create positive relationships within the school. The instructors demonstrate courtesy and respect at all times and this philosophy translates to the students. Even our more experienced students treat the brand new students with respect and dignity. Unfortunately, this is NOT the norm.
Reason 10: Student Focused, NOT Ego Driven
Our staff is more concerned with the students benefiting from their Martial Arts training than with building their own egos. Winning tournaments and going on exotic trips for training are fine if those are the individual goals of the instructor, but it has next to nothing to do with how well these individuals can teach others and much less on how well they run their business. Instructors with big egos WILL translate into the students!
